A Brief History.
After purchasing an existing butcher's shop in 1977, Anthony
Meredith became increasingly disenchanted with the quality
of some of the meat supplied. Investigation soon proved that
not all meat is the same. Quality varies widely, dependent
hugely on where it originates and animals treated badly produce
inferior meats.
Anthony therefore decided to source his meats from farms
which provided traditionally-reared, traceable "from-birth-to-butcher"
animals, where the animals' welfare is the main priority.
